The 144,000!!! 

The 144,000 are written of in the book of Revelations. We must first understand that the 144,000 which are sealed in the book of Revelations are men.

Ezekiel 9:4 – Vs. 4. And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. The Lord instructed the angel clothed in linen to go throughout the city and set a mark on the foreheads of the men who were grieved by the evil abominations being committed in the city during Ezekiel’s time.

The 144,000 in the book of Revelations are sealed in their foreheads.

Revelations 7:1-8 – Vs. 1. And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3. Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their forehead. 4. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

These men that the angels are sealing are all Israelites; 12,000 per tribe.

5. Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6. Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. 

The seal that these Israelite men have in their foreheads is the Name of The Most HIGH.

Revelations 14:1 – Vs. 1. And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. These men knew the Name of the Most HIGH which is AHHAYAH in the ancient Hebrew. Christ proclaimed His Father’s Name to His disciples. Showing us that there had to be other names being called on during their time.

John 17:6 – Vs. 6. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 

Revelations 14:2-5 – Vs. 2. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3. And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. 

Christ was the Firstfruit to The Most HIGH. The 144,000 who are redeemed from the earth are The Most HIGH and Christ’s Firstfruits. The Firstfruits started with the disciples who followed Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:20-23 – Vs. 20. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Christ is the Firsfruit to The Most HIGH and those that are in Christ are The Firstfruits to the Most HIGH and Christ’s. The Firstfruits of Christ are the disciples which followed Him while He walked the earth.

James 1:17-18 – Vs. 17. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 

These verses show us that the disciples who followed the Most HIGH and Christ are the Firstfruits.

Revelations 14:4 – Vs. 4. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 

The 144,000 are not virgins according to the contemporary definition. Also keep in mind the word virgin in the bible is not applied to men. These men did not agree with the pagan world system and preached the gospel of the Kingdom of heaven in which the Most HIGH’s Righteousness would be established throughout the earth under Christ the King. Peter, who Christ told he would build His assembly upon had a wife.

Mark 1:29-30 – Vs. 29. And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30. But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. 

2 Corinthians 11:2 – Vs. 2. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 

The chaste virgin espoused to one husband is speaking of the church (assembly) of believers who only follow Christ. They did not follow after the abominations and evil being committed in the earth. They desired the Kingdom of heaven under God and Christ and not a pagan world full of idolatry.

***The 144,000 are also witnesses to the Most HIGH and Christ.

Acts 1:8 – Vs. 8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 

The disciples of Christ received a measure of power from the Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 2. They were able to speak in different languages of the numerous Israelites and even proselytes who were coming from different countries to keep the Feast of FirstFruits. Since these people spoke different tongues (languages) and needed to hear the Truth of Christ’s sacrifice, resurrection and ascension, the Holy Spirit allowed the disciples to speak these different languages for the congregation to receive the Truth of Christ. Hence, they were able to take this Truth back to their respective countries and spread the Gospel even more. Then the disciples went everywhere preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of heaven as witnesses to the Most HIGH and Christ.

We have confirmed through scripture that the 144,000 are Israelites who know the Most HIGH’s Name and are the disciples and witnesses to the Most HIGH and Christ. The disciples during the time of Christ are no longer in the flesh at this time. Scripture lets us know that there are witnesses in the last days who are Israelites who follow the Most HIGH and Christ which also means the doctrine the disciples/witnesses received from Christ would be restored in the earth. Otherwise, there could be no witnesses or remnant of the 144,000 in the last days.

Revelations 11:1-4 – Vs. 1. And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. 3. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. 4. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. 

Some believe that the two witnesses written of in verse 3 are Elijah and Moses. The two witnesses are actually Israelites descending from the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah after King Solomon’s sin.

Jeremiah 11:16-17 – Vs. 16. The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken. 17. For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal. 

The green olive tree represents the whole house of Israel. The two houses which are Israel and Judah represent the two olive trees we read of in Revelations 11:4 which was originally one green olive tree with goodly fruit before the Kingdom of Israel was split in two.

Revelations 1:20 – Vs. 20. The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. 

The Seven candlesticks represent the seven churches in Asia Minor. When you examine the word church in the Strong’s Concordance you understand that the church is not a building or where one worships God but actually an assembly of people.

Romans 16:3-5 – Vs. 3. Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: 4. Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. 5. Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ. 

As we can see in the verses above, Paul was greeting the people and not the location the people were gathering. The assembly of believers is the Church (assembly). Paul greeted the believers that were in their house not the house itself.

Now we understand that the two candlesticks in Revelations 11:4 is the assembly of the descendants of the ancient Israelites from the Kingdom of Israel and Judah who are the Two Witnesses of the Most HIGH GOD of the earth who possess the same doctrine as the early disciples of Christ or else they would not be His witnesses written of in this particular chapter. We understand that the Most HIGH was speaking to all Israel in Isaiah 43 when He told them they are His witnesses, however, with the many Israelite sects/camps there were during Christ’s time He only called the disciples that followed Him, His witnesses which is why we understand it is the same understanding today.

Revelations 11:4-6 – Vs. 4.  These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. 5. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 6. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. 

These witnesses of the Most HIGH and Christ will possess the same power that Moses and Elijah had during their three-and-a-half-year ministry. Letting us know that they must have the correct date of Firstfuits to receive such power. The disciples received power from on high on the day of Firstfruits during their time. The witnesses of the Most HIGH and Christ in our time will receive the power referenced above. See the lesson on the Two Witnesses for further understanding on this particular topic.

Through scripture we have identified the 144,000. They are all Israelite men who do not agree with the doctrines of this world system who have been redeemed from among men being the Firstfruits to the Most HIGH and Christ. They will operate as leaders under Christ when He returns to govern the earth in righteousness!
